Next Week is Story Week

14 September 2009 7 Comments

What is story week? It’s a week where we talk about stories. How our stories shape us. How our stories reflect us. What our stories do for us.  So here’s what I want you to do.

I want you to email me a story that you are willing to share.  A story that has touched your life. A story that has moved you.

It can be a big story. It can be a little story. It just has to be a true story.

Everybody who sends a story will get my undying gratitude. And one of you will get a pair of mittens that I will knit for you.  Seriously. Knit Mittens.  Cozy.

My email is bp@bridgetpilloud.com .

Oh my god, I don’t normally write for other people, but I love handknit anything.

Do the stories have a theme?

Also, is it like the Olympics and professionals cannot be considered?

    I WANT THE MITTENS.

A theme? That’s funny. That would require me to be organized like those backfence ladies.

When was the last time you watched the olympics? Because they let professionals participate now. Professional Athletes.

Oh wow, I’ve got a lot of competition. A couple of geniuses and a famous writer! :)

I’m notoriously bad at writing stories, and notoriously good at writing text that would be best suited to technical product manuals, but hell, I’ll give it a try!

Wow, I’ll have to search my soul for inspiration, but I haven’t written a story in a long time. However, when it comes to handknitted goodies, I’ll do just about anything! I’ll see if I can come up with one….

Words, come easy.

Hey, chime in. Sit at my table. Eat some nibblies. Have a drink. This is my virtual potluck.
