The Energetic Body Loves Exercise

7 January 2010 3 Comments

Since New Year’s, I’ve changed my mind about two things: Uni and Exercise.

Uni is Sea Urchin.  It’s actually the gonads of the sea urchin.  People eat it.  I’ve always found it as gross as it sounds.

My better half, God bless him, he loves the stuff.

Uni

Brian always wants me to just at least try it.

On January 1st at 7:35 pm, I ate the uni. And I liked it.  It tasted lemony and salty and fresh.

Exercise is Uni.

In that I’ve had to go back and try it about a hundred times.  And I am only now learning to like it.

Each morning I go to the pool and pull my body through the water.

I like the water. I like how my body feels in it. Even better, I like how I feel when I get out of the water.  I feel awesome.

The Energetic Body Loves the Exercise

Each chakra is associated with the physical body in some way.  So when you move that physical body, you sweat, which releases toxins from your system.  It also helps to remove energetic blocks, places where energy is stuck in your system, just gumming up the works.

When you move your body, you help your digestive system. It makes you, ahem, regular, which helps your first and second chakras, which means you have more confidence and creativity.

When you move your body, you get your heart going, which helps your heart chakra, which makes you calm and loving.

When you move your body, you strengthen your core, which strengthens your 3rd chakra, which gives you more self-confidence and makes working with people easier.

When you move your body, you take in more oxygen, which enlivens your blood which brings about a brightness that you don’t have without it.  It’s wonderful.

Energy moving through the body helps to integrate your chakras as well. Each chakra communicates better with every other chakra. You’re fluid.  Energetic connection and flow means life is easier.

So Move It!

Not for how you’ll look on the outside, but for how you’ll feel on the inside.

Here’s a little music to motivate:

Lovely! Here’s a tip: After your workout, when you are feeling most energized, write yourself (or record) a message saying why you are so happy you exercised and how it makes you feel. When life inevitably gets in the way of your workout, and you start to forget how great it feels, and start not wanting to do it, pull out that message for motivation.

You had me at sea urchin gonads.

And right on with the awesomeness of exercise too.

It’s always amazing to me how much better I feel on every level when I exercise.

Good schtuff. You rocked it. Again.

    Miss Burrows-

That’s an awesome idea! I’m going to do that after tomorrow’s workout.
My gym has this thing going on in January where you get a sticker for every water-based workout you do.
And if you get 16 stickers you get a t-shirt!
You cannot believe how hard I will work for a freaking sticker! Today’s said, “Good Job”.

    Fabeku-
I was so grossed out this morning when I found out that’s what I was eating. You know, it doesn’t look like a gonad. It just looks like a bit of muck (so much more appetizing!).
Thank you! Happy to rock it with the Sea Urchin Gonads.

Words, come easy.
