I hesitated to share this with you this morning, because I really don’t want to bring you down. But an authentic, engaged life means that you bring the real (as long as it is somewhat useful).
This morning, I’m struggling with being idle with despair. Because I’m going through something that sucks. Something deeply frustrating, something I’ve tried really hard at.  And there’s no easy way to give up on it.

My niece is a lesbian.  She’s 23.  She’s hilarious.  She is one of the funniest people I know.
I keep trying to talk her into moving to my home town of Portland, Oregon.
One day, I said to her, “Well, you know, Portland only has one lesbian bar. I don’t know why they’ve only got one.”
And she said, “Why can’t I go to a normal bar, Bridget?”

When I was a kid, my grandmother gave me a book of Jesus stories, one for each day of the year. They were devotionals, meaning there was a little story and then a bible verse. You were supposed to read the story and then take that little verse into your day, like a good little girl.

The latest batch of clients are all working on the same thing. They are working on turning on their power. These clients are all strong women. They are confronting things that seem so big to them. They ask, “Why am I experiencing this?”
Every one of them has something specific to work on. They have beliefs from their past. They have some chakra issues. They are getting divine guidance. The work they’re given to do is solid and tangible and different for each one.

I was driving to the dog park when I heard about the first plane.
I didn’t think it was intentional at first. I thought that the plane was a piper-cub type and the person aboard was just way off course.
