Yesterday- We talked about Twists of Fate- and how twists of fate are brilliant markers for destiny.
Today, we’re talking escalated energy.
Recently, I had a session with a client. We resolved an issue that had plagued her for years.
The session was full of deep, moving stuff. We explored her compassion, her suffering and how alone and away from God we feel sometimes.
By the end of our session, she felt that the burden had been lifted. She felt light and joyful. She told me that she hadn’t felt this peace for ten …

Yesterday, we talked about how our dreams can point to our destiny.
Today- we’re talking twists of fate. This is, perhaps, the most important marker.
My story
Ten years ago, I was a product manager in corporate America. I had a very important but very boring software product. I was technical and nerdy.
One day, one of my sales reps stopped by my office. He was having a problem with his wife. He admitted to cheating on her. He wasn’t sure why he did it or what to do now.
Then, the next day, a …

The 2nd Marker of Destiny- been there, done that dreaming

Yesterday, we talked about your childhood oddness and how that was a sign of your destiny.
Today, we’re going to talk about another easy-to-miss sign.
Have you ever had a dream that felt so real; a dream where you were doing something that you’ve never done before (in real life)?
Your dream felt so natural and right, like such a part of you?
That’s a destiny dream. That’s a pointer. That’s your subconscious saying, “Hey! Over Here! Hey! Hey!”
Maybe you’re performing surgery. Or you’re a switchman on a train …

The First Marker of Destiny- Childhood Oddness

Whenever a person tells me about their childhood, I hear how different how different they felt, how alone they felt. The stories they tell are the stories that set them apart.
Childhood loneliness and separation are universal.  We all feel like oddballs.
Your brand of odd is a sign to your destiny
I’m not talking about those people who say things like,
I saw a horse when I was four and I knew that I was destined to be a jockey.
From the time I was a kid, I’ve been interested in fire, and …

Kicking and Screaming Into Destiny

There’s no such thing as a small destiny. We are all here to play a significant game.

That doesn’t mean that we aren’t dragged to our game kicking and screaming.

This post may be a start to your dance with destiny.

Reporting Back on holding a space and looking people in the eyes

Reporting back on the compassionate acts of “making a space for the words of others and looking people in the eyes” attempts of yesterday (I almost wrote “attempts of yore”. It feels so epic to make these small changes).

Interesting, positive results!

Two ways to live in compassion

Today, I am going to try to be more conscious about the path of compassion.

My sweetheart this morning asked me, What is the opposite of compassion?

I said, without thinking, Separation, distance, turning away.

He said, hmm.

He said it in a way that meant he was going to need to ponder it longer.

So, compassion is connection. It’s feeling what others feel. It’s living in context to others around us according to their truest self and their truest need.

Finding the time for mind/body/spirit integration

Last week,  I wrote about mind/body/spirit integration.  Today, we’re going to talk about how you find time for it.  I find it kind of hilarious that it took me five days to find the time to write this post.
The 3 keys to mind-body-spirit integration are presence, contemplation and attunement.
How do we find time for this?
Seriously?  We are very busy people.   We are too busy to list all the ways we are busy!
The trick to mind/body/spirit integration is to find ways to fit in into your day.
Practicing Presence Every …

Peace in 3 acts

Yesterday, I introduced an idea that may be hard to wrap our heads around. It’s the idea that we are often responding to beliefs in our subconscious that cause us to do things that make us physically unhealthy.

Whether these beliefs are ancestral knowledge or responses to past life experiences or responses to childhood trauma, they can come into the here and now and gum up the works.

Good News

You can make these beliefs conscious, and then you can stop doing them.
