Crazy, Working with Fear and Doubt »
V.o.D. the Impaler is the drama llama’s downstairs neighbor. V.o.D. is not my kind of animal.
You see, V.o.D. stands for Voice of Doom. He is the inner critic. He is that voice you hear that tells you that really, you suck. You suck. you suck.
So, you know what? You don’t suck. V.o.D. the impaler has dubious intentions, to make you play a small game. And that’s very silly. Silly Impala!

Okay, so I was going to wait and introduce Drama Llama to you next week. But then, last night, my 22-year-old stepson really pissed me off, and I had a visit from the Drama Llama.
I suffer from a condition known as Raise your children in a really nice community and home and then they don’t want to leave and adult children make really annoying roommates.
Really annoying.
All the spoons go missing.
I’m standing in a towel checking my email before bed and suddenly a few young adult men are …

So, in the car on the way to school today, I mentioned to my tweener, Ike, that we would be stopping at the Humdinger for a milkshake after his haircut, but before family pictures.
Can I just say that I feel a little guilty that my kids had to reach ages 22, 19 and 12 before we did family pictures? Can I also say that our first family Christmas card is going out this year and I will be 41 when it hits your mailbox?
I am domestically delayed.
Except for my ability …

This is a many-part series about How to Safely Handle Emotions.
There’s a look I see in women’s faces, sometimes in men too. It’s the face of control. Perhaps it’s the tension in the jaw. There is something about the set of the cheekbones.
When I see this face, I see someone who is very good at keeping it together.
So Good at Control
We are very good at controlling our emotions. Until we’re not.
We are very good at hiding our anger, frustration, angst, anxiety. It’s like putting 10 lbs. of misery in a …

Yesterday, we talked about the words Intense and Unbridled. Today, we’re going to talk about deserving your ferocity.
Have you heard that sucking sound? That’s the great soul-suck of the modern day workplace.
When you are in a toxic work environment, your soul can feel sucked dry.
And as you think about bringing your fierce, you may ask yourself, “Do they deserve my fierce?”
Well, do they?
Maybe they don’t. Maybe they don’t deserve you. Maybe they aren’t worth your intense and unbridled energy.
Hmm…
If they don’t deserve your intense and unbridled energy, your passion, your …

So, yesterday, you saw my Inner Me. She’s so pretty and kind.
And maybe you thought about your Inner You. If you did, thank you!
Sometimes my ideas are wacky. So if somebody is willing to wack around with me, I appreciate it.
Let’s give our Inner Us’s a voice this morning.
Let’s ask them some questions.
Straighten your spine.
And then you can either just ask out loud, or you can write your inner you a letter.
Dear Inner Me-
How’s the weather in there? I hear it’s always sunny, except when you want soup, and …

Sometimes, when working to heal a client, I come across a block that is very hard to budge.
This is what happens-
I’m directed to a chakra by Creator.
I see a problem.
It could look like thorns cutting into the heart chakra, or a dull dormant grey space where the root chakra should be, where I would expect to see vibrant red.
And I will ask “What is wrong here?”
The energetic body of the person will say, “I am ashamed.” or “I am unlovable.” or “Everything I do turns to shit.”
It will be a …
